Good Economic News

Here are just a few of the recent jobs announcements that have crossed my desk in recent weeks

Responsible Transportation, a maker of animal feed, will open a facility in Keokuk, Iowa and hire 27 people.

In Bay City, Michigan, RWC, Inc., a welding and fabrication company, will expand its operation and create 24 new jobs.

Regal Beloit Corporation, a maker of motion-control products, will expand its facility on the Village of Caledonia, Wisconsin, creating 175 new jobs.

Encor Container, a provider of industrial containers, will open a new facility in Greenville, County, South Carolina, creating 89 new jobs.

The Curehouse, a provider of meats, will open a facility in Louisville, Kentucky, creating 10 new jobs.

In Mascoutah, Illinois, North Bay Produce, Inc., a distributor of fresh produce, will open a refrigerated warehouse, creating 90 new jobs.

Sweetwater Sound, Inc., a music technology and instrument retailer, will expand its headquarters in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, creating 316 new jobs.

SFBI North America, a maker of furniture, will locate a new facility in McDowell County, North Carolina, creating 25 new jobs.

Solum, Inc., a maker of agricultural field measurement products, will open a facility in Ames, Iowa, creating 25 new jobs.

Kurary America, Inc. will expand its chemical production facility in Harris County, Texas, creating 107 new jobs.

Roxul, Inc., a maker of insulation products, will locate a new operation in Marshall County, Mississippi, creating 150 new jobs.

 

Nufab Rebar, LLC, a maker of concrete reinforcing steel, will open a new facility in Riverside, Alabama, creating 50 new jobs.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car will add 500 employees company-wide.

In Ames, Iowa, Amcor Rigid Plastics USA, a provider of packaging solutions, will expand and add 97 new jobs. Congratulations to Dan Culhane of the Ames Economic Development Commission.

Brown-Forman, a whisky maker, will expand its operation in Alabama, creating 200 new jobs.

In Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Meijer Stores, LP, a retail supermarket chain, will open a new facility, creating 36 new jobs.

American Fuji Seal, a maker of labels, will expand its operation in Frankfort, Kentucky, adding 45 new jobs.

Retailer Von Maur will expand its headquarters and distribution center in Davenport, Iowa, hiring 10 people.

In Clarke County, Virginia, Berryville Plastics, a book printer, will consolidate operations, creating 84 new jobs.

In Glenview, Illinois, Astellas, a provider of pharmaceutical products, will open a new headquarters for the Americas, adding 150 new employees.

Cherry Growers, Inc., a fruit processing company, will expand its operation in Traverse City, Michigan, adding 250 employees.

Roche Diagnostics, a maker of healthcare diagnostic products, will expand its operation in Indianapolis, Indiana, creating 100 new jobs.

In Tyler, Texas, Centene Corporation, a healthcare services provider, will expand and hire 300 people.

In Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Formrite Companies, Inc. will expand and create 54 new jobs.

CEL Chemical & Supplies, a maker of chemicals, will open a new operation in Anderson County, South Carolina and hire 15 people.

Kiewit Corporation (Construction) will expand and add 250 new employees.

East Iowa Machine Company, Inc., a maker of finished component parts, will locate a new facility in Farley, Iowa and add 11 employees.

Scientific Development, Inc., a maker of traffic safety products, will locate a new facility in Elkhart, Indiana, creating 11 new jobs.

AGS Automotive, an auto industry supplier, will expand its operation in Sterling Heights, Michigan, adding 90 employees.

In Greenville County, South Carolina, Genetec Technology Automation will expand its operation and add 160 new employees.

Frogdice, a video game developer, has opened its expanded facility in Lexington, Kentucky, creating 7 new jobs.

Britax Child Safety, Inc., a maker of baby products, will open a new facility in York County, South Carolina, creating 243 new jobs.

In Corinth, Mississippi, Timber Products Company, a maker of wood products, will expand and create 4 new jobs.

Van Meter, Inc. will add a regional distribution center in Urbandale, Iowa, creating 9 new jobs.

REHAU, a supplier of automotive products, will expand its operation in Cullman, Alabama, creating 200 new jobs.

Carmeuse Lime & Stone will expand its operation in Frederick County, Virginia, creating 25 new jobs.

Bel Brands USA, a maker of cheese, will open a new facility in Brookings, South Dakota and hire 400 people.

Cummins, Inc, a maker of engines, will expand its facility in Columbia, South Carolina, creating 76 new jobs.

In Raleigh, North Carolina, Citrix, a provider of computer technology, will expand and hire 337 people.

Aramark, a food service company, will hire 200 people company-wide.

Heartland Financial, a multi-bank holding company, will open offices in Dubuque, Iowa, creating 50 new jobs.

Ingersoll Rand, a diversified industrial company, will expand its operation in Mocksville, North Carolina, creating 60 new jobs.

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. will open a juice bottling plant in Upper Macungie Township, Pennsylvania, creating 165 new jobs.

Quatro Composites, a maker of carbon fiber composite products, will expand its operation in Orange City, Iowa, creating 99 new jobs.

In Racine, Wisconsin, Racine Railroad Products, Inc. will expand and hire 32 people.

MECO, a maker of water treatment products, will open a new facility in Mandeville, Louisiana, creating 127 new jobs.

Preston Farms Popcorn will open a warehouse facility in Louisville, Kentucky, creating 51 jobs.

In Grenada, Mississippi, Sealed Air Corporation, a maker of protective packaging, will expand and add 10 new employees.

Forte Automation Systems, Inc., a maker of medical devises, will expand its operation in Rockford, Illinois, adding 10 new jobs.

In Martin County, North Carolina, Marco Company, a maker of retail display equipment, will locate a new facility and hire 100 people.

Booz Allen Hamilton Consulting will add 900 employees company-wide.

Putco, Inc., a supplier of parts to the auto industry, will expand its operation in Polk County, Iowa and add 5 employees.

NTN Driveshaft, Inc., a maker of automotive products, will expand its Columbus, Indiana operation and hire 50 people.
